Grand housekeepers cupboard
Australian, circa. 1850 - Yaloah Estate
An absolutely breathtaking and exceptionally large housekeepers cupboard, this remarkable piece comes from the historic Yaloak Estate in Victoria, Australia. Held within the same family for over 150 years, it carries a deep sense of history—originally used to store everything needed for the running of a grand household, from cleaning essentials to treasured ironware. Crafted as one solid piece, it features beautifully made pigeon hole shelves, many of which are adjustable—you can even remove a sectioned shelf to create larger compartments. With four large solid doors, all with their original locks and keys, it offers both function and presence. The doors can also be removed if preferred, creating open shelving for display. A rare and magnificent piece—perfect as a freestanding statement to build and design a kitchen, café, restaurant, or home space around.
A true heirloom, rich in character, charm and grand presence.
