Shipping policy


Shipping Times & Charges

We aim to process and prepare all orders within 3 - 5 working days unless your purchase is a Pre-Order item. The shipping times thereafter, and related charges, are as follows.

Please note, we are a small family business and do not ship large volumes, nor do we have a 'standard' package due to the nature of our products, therefore unfortunately we are unable to provide discounted shipping rates. The price you are charged for shipping is reflective of the rates from the postal or courier service. 

Pick Up

You are welcome to collect your order from our store in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.
Please select 'local pick-up' at check out and we will message you to arrange a time for collection of your order. 

Furniture & Large Pieces 

Due to the size of our furniture and large pieces we do not offer shipping

Pieces can be arranged for pick up direct from our store in Geelong, Victoria. If you're unable to collect the piece yourself, you can arrange a courier to collect it on your behalf. 

It is a requirement that all Furniture and Large pieces are scheduled for collection no later than one week after purchase. 
It is also a requirement that
48 hours notice is given to Family Founded prior to the collection of the piece so we can ensure it is ready for transport. 

Please note: Family Founded is a small family business and we are not open every day. Please get in contact with us and provide plenty of notice so we can ensure we are available when your furniture or large piece is collected. 

Family Founded are not responsible for any loss or damage to your piece that may occur in transit once it leaves our property. This is your responsibility or the responsibility of the courier service you choose to use. 

Australia standard delivery 

Many of our smaller items can be sent in standard Australia Post.
The cost of shipping will be calculated at check out and is generally based on the size of the package and the weight of the items purchased.            

Rest of world

We are excited to offer shipping to the following countries: New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Finland, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Canada, United States.

The cost of shipping will be calculated at check out and is generally based on the size of the package and the weight of the items purchased. 

If your country is not listed above, please contact us directly at hello@familyfounded.com.au so we can provide you with an individualised shipping quotation based on the products you would like to purchase. 

Fragile items 

Fragile items may incur higher shipping costs as they require additional packaging and insurance. Please note that if you order more than one item, your fragile item may be sent separately. 

What happens if your items are lost or damaged 

We insure all deliveries arranged by Family Founded against loss or damage and take a great deal of care to ensure that every order is packed securely and in a way which minimises the chance of damage during the shipping process. In the unlikely event that your items are lost or damaged during delivery, the issue will be dealt with in accordance with the policies of Australia Post or the courier service used for that particular order. 

Please get in touch as soon as possible if any of your pieces have unfortunately been damaged in transit so that we can assess the situation and contact the relevant company.
