Handmade bedhead - French brocade 20th Century
This vintage brocade king size bedhead is truly a stunning piece, hand-crafted by us using exquisite brocade sourced in Paris. Once draped as curtains in a grand French home, the brocade now brings a sense of elegance and history to this beautifully curved design. A grand shape, with elegant curves and a prominent tall form, it has been thoughtfully upholstered to honour the pattern of the antique brocade. There is a join in the fabric that has been carefully matched to create a piece large enough for the bedhead — it blends beautifully and can barely be seen (please see all images). Finished with an olive green bind, it is a true statement in any master or guest bedroom.
This will be our last brocade bedhead until we return to France next year. Graceful, charming, and so beautiful when paired with our vintage bedsides for bedtime essentials and reading. Don’t miss out on this one-off piece, never to be repeated.
Designed to stand firmly against a wall with two solid legs, it suits a king size mattress and base perfectly. The bed height can also be lowered if required by shortening the timber legs on the bedhead.
