France, 19th Century

A rare and truly special pair of Savoie jam pots, crafted around 1880 and becoming increasingly hard to come by. Once staples of the 19th-century kitchen, they were traditionally used to store jams and marmalades, their sturdy stoneware bodies made to withstand everyday use for generations. The soft yellow glaze has worn beautifully over time, creating the most wonderful aged patina that only years of use can bring. Today, they are just as lovely holding kitchen spoons on a bench or simply sitting proudly on an open shelf, full of rustic French charm and history.
